This St Germain cocktail is a lovely sparkling cocktail. It’s light, a little bit sweet, floral, and bubbly, and it’s also super simple to make! For another sparkling cocktail, see my Aperol spritz, cranberry champagne cocktail or this kir royale. To make my St Germain cocktail, you’ll add chilled St Germain to a martini glass or champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine (like Champagne or Prosecco), and then squeeze in the juice from an orange wedge. So simple and so good!
Key Ingredients
St Germain: St Germain is a French liqueur made from hand-picked elderflowers. It’s light and subtly sweet, and it makes deliciously refreshing cocktails. Sparkling Wine: I start with a chilled, dry sparkling wine, similar to what I use for mimosas. I choose one I enjoy, without breaking the bank ($25 to $40 is my sweet spot). Champagne, Cava (from Spain), American sparkling wine, or dry Prosecco (from Italy) all work well. Cava and Prosecco are usually the most affordable. Orange: I love fresh orange in this cocktail, but you can substitute blood orange or lemon. Both would be delicious!
