If you have yet to try fry sauce, you’re missing out! In its basic form, fry sauce combines mayonnaise and ketchup, and it has gained popularity since the mid-20th century. Some credit the Arctic Circle burger chain for popularizing it in the 1940s, although you’ll see similar sauces throughout Latin and South America, Puerto Rico, and Europe. Once you try it, you’ll see why it’s so loved! Fry sauce is the perfect dip for fries (regular or sweet potato), roasted veggies, and much more.
How to Make Fry Sauce
My fry sauce recipe combines mayonnaise, ketchup, vinegar, hot sauce, Worcestershire, pickle juice, and salt. I stir it all together, and it’s ready. To take the sauce up a notch, try making it with homemade mayonnaise and homemade ketchup. If you are egg-free or vegan, swap traditional mayonnaise with our homemade vegan mayonnaise.
