Sesame Ginger Shrimp Marinade Recipe

Chef Richard created this easy shrimp marinade recipe. We wanted something bright, zesty, and a bit spicy, and he delivered! It features some of my favorite ingredients: ginger, fresh lime, fish sauce, and toasty sesame oil. We let the shrimp marinate for 30 to 60 minutes. No longer, or the acidity will start “cooking” them. This marinade is great for shrimp, chicken, tofu, or beef. It’s quick, easy, and always makes me happy....

Smoky Sweet Potatoes With Black Beans Corn Recipe

The first time I made this recipe, I was doing what I love most: cooking with what I have on hand. I had some sweet potatoes on the counter, a little mango salsa in the fridge, and half a jar of pickled onions that needed to be used up. I grilled the sweet potatoes (because who wants to roast or bake them in the summer?), spread them on a platter, and started piling things on top....

It would be hard to overstate how much I love spicy mayo. Maybe you can relate? It’s creamy, it’s zingy, it’s full of fiery spice. How could you not want to eat it on sushi, let alone tacos, veggie burgers, or a side of French fries? Like many people, I first started eating spicy mayo at restaurants, but for years now, I’ve been making my own at home. It’s just too good to save for when you’re out to eat, and it also happens to be super easy to make!...

Case in point, as I started writing this post, I went and polished off the leftovers I was saving for my lunch… for breakfast. I’m telling you, I have no self-control sometimes....

Using A Steamer For Rice Indian Cooking Edible Garden

We wanted to try regular vegetables, rice, and dal. The steamer comes with 2 oval-shaped containers with large-ish holes at the bottom that allows steam in from the water you need to pour in at the lowest level. The holes will allow dal to fall through so you need to use another container to hold it. We put some cut and washed cauliflower and beans together to steam along with a small container of soaked toor dal to be used in rasam....

Vegetable Paneer Biryani With Brown Rice Edible Garden

PinThis is a super easy cheats version of biryani that I normally make in my rice cooker but you can also use a pressure cooker for it, of course. During my post partum days, I had switched to smaller, more frequent meals and always had a cup of mixed vegetables with rice or couscous before bed.
